Will somebody stay with the gaming van?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We'll have someone on hand for the duration of your use of the gaming van, on hand to support with any queries from "How do I use a console" to the more complex "How do I complete this level" we're happy to help and ensure you and your guests get the most out of your time with the van.

What is the age range for the Gaming Van?

Accepted Answer

Any age from 7+ is able to use the Gaming Van (for very boring insurance reasons). As a default we give access to all games so when making enquiries please let us know if you'd like to apply an age limit.

Does an adult need to be in attendance if it's for a kids party?

Accepted Answer

We just need an adult to be nearby in case of emergency, but the joys of the gaming van is you can relax!

Question 4

How do I know if my house is suitable for the van?

Accepted Answer

Our Van is a large car in width and approx. 2 cars long in length. We need enough space for our large van to park safely on level ground, we can park on quiet roads as long as we don't block any traffic and can safely run a cable to your house. (We have 25 metre electric cables)

How many can fit in the van at one time?

We can cater for up to 12 people in the van, it may mean a few are sat on the floor but we try and use the outdoor screen to rotate gamers around so everyone is getting stuck in!

Game Over Gaming Van are based in Essex, we cover Essex, London and the surrounding areas.

How many Playstations do you have?

Game Over Gaming Van has 5 Playstation 5's with 2 controllers for each.

Question 8

Do you have Racing Simulators?

Accepted Answer

We have 2 Racing Simulators connected to 2 Xbox Series X. They're fully adjustable so can suit children and adults of most heights. If you're not into racing don't worry our sims can connect controllers to them to turn them into any normal Xbox console.

Question 9

Do you allow food and drink in the van?

We don't, no one likes sticky controllers! We ask that there's no food and drink in the van. We can provide a table (upon request) to go under our awning if you wish to provide drinks/snacks for outside of the van.

Is your outdoor screen covered?

Accepted Answer

Game Over Gaming Van has a fantastic large outdoor screen which allows up to 6 people to play on it with a covered awning so you can play on it come rain* or shine.
*If it's particularly thundery, rainy or windy we might not be able to get the awning out for safety reasons.

Is this suitable for non gamers?

Yes! Game Over Gaming Van love isn't just for gamers! We have a Karaoke machine we can bring on request, but we find our friendly approach and variety of games and consoles, Playstation, Xbox, Racing Sim's (Simulators), Switches are all available so we're guaranteed to find something you'll love!

Do you have any Xbox Series X?

Yes we have 2 x Xbox Series X in the van, they're connected to our racing simulators. Guaranteed to be a hit for your gaming van party! They do come with normal controlers so if you're not into the racing that's fine too!

Question 13

Can the van work if I don't have plugs near my house?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately not if we can't park within 25 metres of a wall plug power socket - we can't connect to an extension lead for electrical safety reasons. Please speak to a team member using our contact us form so we could look at options such as a generator.

Can you provide gaming van parties during the week?

Yes! We love parties at Game Over Gaming Van and will work around your schedule, we'll always try and work with you to make any event a success.
If it's an after school party we normally ask to start at 6pm but if you want an in the day party we can work with you to make it happen!
